HAY Y'ALL

hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but
READ MY REVERSE TWILIGHT DRABBLE AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW
REALLY
so call me maybe?

I get back on here and for some reason a lot of people really like "Prussian Fairytale!" Not that I'm unhappy, but... I didn't spend so much time on that. OTL' Try Auld Lang Syne, or Spring 1992? Oh, and some frankly wonderful comments. They made me blush.

Oh, and Mattel put out a Barbie Dreamhouse webseries. It is amazing, y'all. Look for it on YouTube.

*buzzes off*

(I also gained Game of Thrones as a fandom. Whoops.)

and it's like meeting an oldest friend again, bad grammar completely intentional.

Major friend-fuzzies for Megan Whalen Turner's "The Thief."

Taking Johnlock drabble requests on Tumblr, but you can ask here, too. :)

Girl on Fire

Long story short, I caused a fireball earlier today and now my left eyebrow and eyelashes are singed. It's an interesting effect: The edges are curlier and lighter. Are eyelash curlers usually heated? (Wow, that adds a whole other dimension of horror to the idea.)

...Fuck yeah, the play Fences. I normally loathe racially-themed literature (A: because I am not the intended audience, B: because I am a spoiled white girl who can relate to practically nothing, C: because whinging gets boring awfully quickly unless you're a damn fine writer) but, just. wow. The writing was utterly fantastic; each character had his or her own voice in my head, with noticeable speaking patterns and rhythms. The story was so well-written and it was so fun to analyze and discuss, I'm buying a copy to mark up on my own. I called up the local bookstore and asked for it. Soul-crushing depression when they said it wasn't in stock, I tell you.

I also got around to talking with some kids at my lunch table about what parts of English they liked. Turns out the guy who sits next to me adored the Odyssey and wants to read the Iliad. <3

Good literature makes me so happy, I just melt into a pool of gleeful goo.

I do a lot of Mexican-ish cooking, so I'm always buying cilantro. Which is, you know, fine. (I feel like an awesome, mature person, buying herbs by the bundle. :P ) Anyhow, I was looking for it at Walmart (not really expecting to find it, because LOL, it's Walmart), and found it, as well as this freaky-weird space age cilantro "Herb Blend," containing "3 bunches of chopped fresh organic cilantro" paste. In a tube. My sister picked it up and sniffed it, thinking it was hand cream.
Probability of the contents being carcinogenic: :icon9000plz:

How excited I am to try it out: :iconlaexplodeplz:

got any fun food stories? :D
